All ŞENER BESIM pieces are crafted with longevity in mind, however, as with any luxury item, proper care and maintenance are recommended. To extend the lifespan our your pieces, follow the below care tips.

• Remove jewellery before showering, sleeping, swimming, cleaning, or working with your hands 
• Avoid exposing jewellery to perfumes, hairsprays, creams, household bleaches, cleaners, chlorinated water, or salt water
• Store jewellery individually in its original packaging in a dry, cool place to prevent it from being scratched, tangled or tarnished

 

SOLID GOLD

Our collection of solid gold jewellery is crafted using high-quality materials, including 10K, 14K or 18K solid gold. These premium materials ensure that each piece not only retains its value but also maintains its quality and elegance for years to come.

As with any investment, proper care is essential to ensure the longevity of your jewellery. We recommend following the below tips to help preserve your piece.

• Store your jewellery in a dry, cool place away from sunlight and other heat sources to prevent it from tarnishing and losing its shine
• Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals such as chlorine, bleach, and other cleaning products as they can damage the gold and cause discolouration
• Remove your jewellery before swimming, showering or engaging in any physical activities that may cause it to come into contact with sweat, oils or chemicals
• Clean your jewellery regularly using a soft cloth and warm soapy water or a gold polishing cloth to remove any dirt, oils or grime that may have accumulated

 

GOLD VERMEIL

Gold Vermeil is a type of gold-coated metal commonly used in jewellery making. To be considered as such, the base metal must be sterling or fine silver, the gold must be at least 10 karats pure, and the coating must be at least 2.5 microns thick.

With proper care, your Gold Vermeil jewellery can last for years, the thicker the gold plating, the longer the life of the piece. To care for your Gold Vermeil jewellery:

• Store it in a fabric-lined box or soft cloth away from dust and dirt
• Avoid exposing it to heat or placing anything heavy on top of it
• Wipe it after use to prevent tarnishing from body oils, cosmetics, and grime
• Only use a soft, 100% cotton or microfibre cloth with warm soapy water to clean it
• Don't use any chemicals or coarse fabrics as they can strip the gold off and cause discolouration

 

SILVER RHODIUM

Our collection of silver jewellery is rhodium plated, involving a technique that deposits a thin layer of metal onto sterling silver to create a luxurious and lustrous finish. It is important to note that the rhodium plating is subject to natural wear and tear, and over time, the coating may fade. To clean your rhodium piece: 

• Soak it in warm water that is free of soap for no longer than 15 minutes, and gently scrub the piece with a soft toothbrush, rinse off with clean water and pat dry with a towel
• Avoid using harsh cleaners that may cause damage to the rhodium coating
• You can use a silver polishing cloth to polish your rhodium piece

KNITWEAR

ŞENER BESIM knitwear is crafted in Italy from the finest blend of Italian yarns, with each piece thoughtfully designed to be a timeless staple in your wardrobe. To ensure your knitwear lasts season after season, we recommend following the below tips. 

• Dry cleaning is recommended for ŞENER BESIM pieces, however, if washing at home, use cold water and eco-friendly wool laundry detergent, avoiding harsh detergents and bleaches
• To wash, soak for up to 10 minutes before rinsing with clean water. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the garment
• Avoid wringing or hanging to dry to prevent stretching. Instead, press gently with a clean, dry towel and lay flat to air dry
• Store neatly folded in a drawer or on a shelf to prevent stretching

 

RESORT

ŞENER BESIM Resort Collection is produced from a heavy weight 100% Turkish Mercerised Cotton, and produced in Türkiye. Mercerised cotton is valued for its increased strength and durability, and the mercerisation process adds a smooth luster to the surface of the fabric, for a luxurious finish.

• Hand washing is recommended; however the mercerised cotton can be machine washed in lukewarm water, avoid harsh detergents and bleaches.
• Wash separately or with similar colours, lay flat to dry and do not tumble dry.
• If ironing is required, steaming is recommended, or ironing on reverse side. To avoid shiny marks, do not iron directly on the cloth.

EYEWEAR

Hand-crafted in Japan, each piece of ŞENER BESIM eyewear is delicately adorned, and engineered with utmost precision. To preserve the condition and longevity of your eyewear, we recommend following the below care tips.

• Keep your eyewear in a protective case when not in use to prevent scratches and damage
• Avoid placing your eyewear face down on surfaces to prevent scratches on the lenses and frames
• Use a microfiber cloth to clean the lenses and frames, if the lenses are particularly dirty, rinse them with lukewarm water before cleaning them with a microfiber cloth
• Avoid using harsh chemicals, soaps, or detergents to clean your eyewear as they can damage delicate materials
• Avoid exposing your eyewear to extreme temperatures and high humidity as it can damage the materials and affect the fit
